Of course, around here you've got to be careful that you're not going to be arrested, but with a little care you can find the right places. ;-)RSD_Terryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05545032941712225997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34474971.post-89112177755108095702007-05-14T22:05:00.000-07:002007-05-14T22:05:00.000-07:00Glad you found it interesting! That book sounds lik...Glad you found it interesting!

That book sounds like it would be really fascinating to read :) Now that I have free time, I might try to procure a copy and check it out. It makes me think about the little girls at preschool - the clothing choices they make every day and the dress-up clothes they choose.

There is a book, "The Hurried Child" written in the 80s by David Elkind, that talks about how we've lost all our age-markers - one of which used to be clothing. Clothing for children was very different than clothing for adults. As those lines have blurred, and we see toddlers, teens and adults dressing alike, we see teens making more extreme choices in their clothing, in piercings, tattoos and hair choices, all in an effort to distinguish themselves from children and adults.

Interesting paper that makes me think!Backofpackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13779487553272296752noreply@blogger.com
